ศรีลังกา “เลื่อนสอบปลายภาค” วิกฤตเศรษฐกิจทำขาดแคลนกระดาษ-หมึกพิมพ์!

ศรีลังกา “เลื่อนสอบปลายภาค” – สเตรตส์ไทมส์ รายงานวันที่ 20 มี.ค. ว่า กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ศรีลังกา ประกาศเลื่อนการสอบประเมินผลปลายภาคเรียนอย่างไม่มีกำหนด ภายหลังขาดแคลนกระดาษและหมึกสำหรับพิมพ์ข้อสอบ ด้านแหล่งข่าวระบุว่าการระงับสอบในครั้งนี้อาจกระทบต่อนักเรียนราว 2 ใน 3 ของจำนวนนักเรียนกว่า 4.5 ล้านคนทั่วประเทศ

กรณีดังกล่าวเกิดขึ้นในช่วงวิกฤตเศรษฐกิจรุนแรงที่สุดนับตั้งแต่ศรีลังกาได้รับเอกราชในปี 2491 เป็นเหตุให้ทุนสำรองเงินตราต่างประเทศสำหรับนำเข้าสินค้าสำคัญมีอย่างจำกัด ก่อให้เกิดภาวะขาดแคลนอาหาร เชื้อเพลิง และยารักษาโรค

ขณะที่รัฐบาลศรีลังกาแถลงเมื่อสัปดาห์ก่อนว่าจะขอความช่วยเหลือจากกองทุนการเงินระหว่างประเทศ (ไอเอ็มเอฟ) เพื่อเร่งแก้ปัญหา
